The Wisconsin WIC Program, the Wisconsin Nutrition and Physical Activity Program, and the Association of State and Territorial Public Health Nutrition Directors have developed a series of five training programs that cover the content in Moving to the Future: Nutrition and Physical Activity Program Planning (Moving to the Future).
This five-session training series has been developed for use by state and local public health professionals in Wisconsin. The Moving to the Future resource is copyrighted, so if you are not part of the Wisconsin public health system please refer to the copyright policy.
This five-part training series has two purposes.- Provide professionals in local agencies with an overview of some of the steps in planning comprehensive community-based interventions.
- Encourage the use of a planning approach that includes individual, environmental and policy strategies that will increase the likelihood of sustained behavior change and that will improve the health of people in their communities.
This session, Session 2, includes an overview of gathering and analyzing community data, community opinion, and community environment. To listen to the session and to do the activities you should plan on one hour and 30 minutes.
We recommend that you print out the Activity Sheets file before starting the slide show. You will be using the activity sheets while listening to the slide show. |
