Description of resource
|
|
The Texas Nutrition and Physical Activity Work Group (NUPAWG) convened last year to address the increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity among all population groups in Texas. One step toward accomplishing this will be to ensure that the TDH public health workforce is adequately trained to provide expert assistance related to physical fitness and obesity prevention in a culturally sensitive and appropriate manner. TDH staff members will likely be working with many communities and contractors who identify physical activity and nutrition as priorities. |
